Our family French summer school – a wonderful family French experience.

This is a private family French course, with teachers and accommodation to suit you.
And your children can play with French children of the same age - the ideal way to learn a language.

French lessons for your children:

Your Children have 2 excellent options, depending on their confidence and preferences:

Either to have their own French language teacher and their own private programme of lessons and activities. French language lessons in the morning can be followed by games, visits and joint activities with local French children in the afternoons.
Activities could include visits to the local outdoor pool, horse-riding, walks (with a donkey to carry your picnic and bags), and a visit to the local adventure park - www.aventuretrieves.com

Or to join in the local holiday programme at the local Children's Centre offering summer activities for local French children. This offers structured programmes for 3-6 and 6-11 year olds, and teenagers. Their staff are all qualified French "animateurs".

Each week has a different theme eg: water and swimming, circus performers, trees & cabins, multi-sports.

Parents can relax, or study French with us, or follow their own program of walking, biking, horse-riding, wind-surfing, paragliding etc. Or .... a wide variety of craft courses are available, perhaps to complement your French lessons? Ask us for details.

Dates: These private family French language courses are available June - September; (but note that the Children's Centre is open 9 July - 31 August, but closed 30 July - 10 August ie for the first 2 weeks of August).

A chalet on our local campsite: Camping Pre-Rolland
Our local campsite is right in town, next door to the outdoor swimming pool and snack bar - a great place for meeting other children. And right next to the Children’s Centre with their lively summer programme for children and teenagers.
A chalet there gives independence, a great social life and is just 5 mins from the town's shops, 4 bistros and 7 restaurants.

A great spot - this restored farmhouse is just 2km from Mens and offers friendly half-board accommodation. A great base for walking and mountain-biking too.

This working farm just 4km from MENS offers options from guest-house rooms and self-catering cottages to camping. Bed & breakfast, or half-board are all possible. There is a kitchen and dining area for guest use. Facilities include a communal barbeque, washing machine and play areas for children, all in a lovely rural setting.

Bed & breakfast + 3 evening meals per week in this lovely restored farm house, with your hosts Bernadette and André. They have 2 large double ensuite rooms in the hamlet of Cornillon Chateau.
Please note that the farm is 5km from the centre of MENS so a car, or using the local taxi service, is necessary for getting around. Classes are normally held in the centre of MENS.

Self-catering:
A nice range of houses and chalets are available for rental, giving you independance. Ask us for our list of ideas.
