FRENCH LESSONS:

QUOTE for group French lessons

We offer these French lessons of 15 hours over 5 days i.e. 3 hours of study, (9-12 each day), leaving you the afternoons free for activities where you can use your new language skills and enjoy yourself in these lovely parts of France: skiing, walking, windsurfing, mountain-biking, horse-riding etc.

There will be, on average, just 4 students of the same level in a group to ensure that it is an intensive French experience. You will have homework too!

French lessons - included in the price are:

  • FLE qualified teachers (maitrise FLE).
  • 3 hrs a day of teaching for 5 days; 15 hours of French lessons, in small groups.
  • Plus homework and private study.
  • The supply of student books and CDs. (Usually "Tempo" or &qu ot;Studio 100")
  • A language focus on culture and daily life.

Accommodation and meals - included in the price are :

  • MENS: 7 nights half-board at Prefaucon farm (see the MENS page for details).
  • CHAMONIX: 6 nights half-board, Youth Hostel accomodation.

Activities - included in the price are: MENS only.

  • There are organised activities on 3 afternoons to reinforce your French lessons. This includes a visit to Terre Vivante, France's main centre for organic gardening and "green" building.

Not included in the price is:

Anything that is not listed above.

Price:

690 € with Homestay, in MENS (7 nights half-board ie bed, breakfast and evening meal. Additional nights accommodation, £30 half-board.

690 € in CHAMONIX. Youth Hostel accomodation, 6 nights half-board.

For Homestay: You are most welcome to simply stay with a host family, without following a language course, for 290 € a week (7 days, half-board). Or to follow a course for 1 week and then stay for further weeks.

January 13-19: (course 14-18 Jan). With the possibility of French lessons for a second week.

Dates in 2008: MENS
June 15-22: (course 16-20 June).
To coincide with the Fête de la Musique (21 June) and the Foire de Potiers (21-22 June).
September 14-21: (course 15-19 September).

& other weeks by arrangement (if you are 4 people of a similar level).

Notes:

The way to learn a language is to speak it. The time YOU spend speaking is directly related to group size. The smaller the group, the faster you learn. Our small group French lessons program is an effective and sociable compromise between a 1:1 course (expensive) and normal large-group course (fairly ineffective).
